Personal History / Background
Tina grew up in rural Leavenworth County, graduated from Tonganoxie High School, and then attended Emporia State University. Upon graduation from ESU, she worked as Government Sales Manager for a firm in Overland Park, KS, where she stayed until making the decision to stay home and raise her children. Tina moved back to Leavenworth County and built a home on the property where she grew up. There she home-schooled her children until her daughter was a sophomore and went to public school. At that time, Tina was hired to work part-time for Kansas State Extension - Leavenworth County. In September 2021, she was offered the full-time position and accepted. Tina brings a wealth of knowledge to the position, mastering the details to support 4-H, FCS and Ag as well as excelling in all areas of customer service. Tina still resides in Leavenworth County and has 2 grown children, 1 daughter-in-law, 2 granddaughters, and 1 grandson. In her spare time, Tina enjoys service (locally and abroad), spending time with her family, working out, gardening, and has a strong faith.
