Personal History/Background
Anita is an Emporia, KS native and Emporia State University alumna. Her and her husband currently reside in Kansas City, KS with their two dogs (Labs are the best). In her spare time, she enjoys going to the dog park with her pups, swimming, traveling, food, kayaking, listening to podcasts, and reading all of Brene Brown's books. She has a huge heart for Non-Profit organizations! Her past and present volunteering includes work with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Girl Scouts, Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Army, and other local agencies/schools/churches. She's been fortunate to work in the non-profit industry for 7.5 years and has enjoyed every program she's worked for. Anita would love to grab coffee with you and talk more about what K-State Research and Extension has to offer.
